to the breeding, love and showing of the
miniature American Eskimo.
SR Eskies are destined to be winners
either in the show ring or in your heart.
Also known as the "eskie" or "Spitz", the
American Eskimo Dog is one of America's
favorite pets becauseof its luxurious good
looks, playfulness, loyalty andadaptability.
They come in three sizes - Standard,
Miniature, and Toy breeds. American Eskimos
are very smart dogs. They love their owner
families, including playing with the children and roughhousing in the backyard, though
they may be reserved around strangers and
visitors.
Eskies are described as fiercely loyal, and
tend to bond strongly to one person. They
are very intelligent; some owners report that
they may be too intelligent. They will require early socialization and obedience training
so that they can grow into healthy and
responsive adults.
Here at Southern Ridge Farm and Kennels, all
of our eskies are AKC and/or UKC Champions
or Grand Champions. All adults have been
Optigen tested and all of our eskies are
pictured on this web site.
Special Note: Amar's SR The Perfect Storm is Southern Ridge's first
AKC Grand Champion and
is in the AKC Top 25 (#7) for 2012
and participated in Eukanuba
